Adolescent Friendly Health Clinics (Maitri Sanvad Kendra)

We are serving Under Maitri Sanvad Kendra Adolescent Girls & Boys Counseling & Treatment of Physically, Mentally & Socially. Adolescent Health Program based on 10 to 19 years old adolescent criteria along with Menstrual Health, Sexual & Reproductive Health, Nutrition & Diet, Mental Health, Non-Communicable Disease, Violence & Injury (Based on Gender violence), Substance Misuse. Since 2009 we have Counseled & Treated around  35000 Clients on OPD Basis & Near about 10000 Adolescents counselled at School sessions.

Treatment + Services

  • Program management, information, monitoring & Evaluation, Training services, provision for Commodity.
  • Equitable: All Adolescents in the age group 10-19 years are able to obtain services.
  • Accessible: Adolescents are able to obtain the available health services.
  • Acceptable: Adolescents are willing to obtain the available health services.
  • Appropriate: The right health services (i.C.the ones they need) are provided to Adolescents. With Adolescent program along with WIFS (Weekly Iron Folic Supplementation) & PMHS (Promotion of Menstrual Hygiene Scheme

WIFS:  School-based program, State Departments of middle and senior schools will implement the program. The school system is responsible for the Distribution of IFA, Providing dietary counselling to adolescent boys and girls in government/government-aided schools.

Goal:- To institute a school-based weekly IFA supplementation (WIFS) program for control of Anemia in adolescent boys and girls attending classes 6 to 12 years government/government-aided/Municipal school.

PMHS:  This program will be targeted at Adolescent girls in the age group of 10-19 years, residing in rural areas to ensure that they have adequate knowledge and information about the use of sanitary napkins.

To increase awareness among adolescent girls on menstrual hygiene, build self-esteem, and empower girls for greater socialisation.

To increase access to and use of high-quality sanitary napkins by adolescent girls in rural areas.

To ensure the safe disposal of sanitary napkins in an environment-friendly manner.
